New Book-Based Movies I'm Excited to see...
When books cross over to cinema, there are mixed results. Sometimes the movies are better than the book; sometimes they're a good companion to the book; other times they don't even hold a candle to the book.
I thought The Notebook was a beautiful story on film, but surprisingly less spectacular in written form. Twilight (while I am obviously obsessed with the book) was good as a companion to the book, but does not stand well on it's own. However, many films fall short of translating the magic you find in written form to the supposed magic of the big screen.
I personally enjoy movies as much as books. So, there are many up coming book-based movies I am excited to see!
